| Synopsis | Suze and her husband moved from Amsterdam to a small island in the Netherlands and a slow-paced life with their bubbly six-year-old daughter. One day, Suze’s colourful, extravagant mother Helena pays them a visit after a long radio silence and informs Suze about the tumour in her head. Being a theatre actress all her life, Helena knows how to sweetly manipulate her daughter into her reliance. Suze seems powerless to this force and slowly relapses into compulsive behaviour. Torn between her mother and her daughter, Suze is forced her to make an emotional but liberating choice. |
