Bali International Film Festival 2024

Bali International Film Festival (Balinale) returns for its 17^th annual edition from Saturday, 1 June to Friday, 7 June. Cinephiles and industry professionals alike are invited to the festival week at Cinepolis in Plaza Renon, Denpasar.

Balinale 2024 curates a selection of 60 films from 25 countries, catering to a wide range of genres and tastes.

Balinale extends beyond mere screenings, offering a platform for learning and cultural exchange. This year’s exciting program includes:

• Film Scoring Workshop with Dr Edward Bilous: Gain insights into the art of film scoring from a renowned composer, interdisciplinary artist, artistic director, educator, Founding Director of the Center for Innovation in the Arts at The Juilliard School, and creator of Virtua Creative.
• Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation: Witness a showcase of exceptional films, many with their filmmakers in attendance. Presented by Asian Film Academy Awards.
• Cross Cultural Film Award by American-Indonesian Cultural & Educational Foundation: Celebrate intercultural understanding with films created by first-time American and Indonesian filmmakers.
