Multiculturalism in American Arts
Description
Through this program, Mustafa Davis will meet with Indonesian experts across Sumatra and Java to share his analysis on multiculturalism in American arts and to discuss his career and accomplishments as an independent filmmaker. As a private citizen, Mustafa Davis will be speaking on his own behalf; his views do not necessarily reflect U.S. policy.

Topics and Nature of Events
Mustafa Davis will lead interactive discussion sessions related to multiculturalism in American arts, with a specific emphasis on film production, the film industry, and film research and development. Programs are structured for the speaker to make an initial 20-minute presentation, followed by a question and answer session and discussion on wide variety of topics including "Ethics in Filmmaking", "How to shoot intimate interviews", "Starting a Career in Filmmaking", "How to Use Social Media to Market Your Work", "Getting The Shot - Cinematography" and other topics related to the filmmaking process.
